In 1946, the Boonton Molding Co. started producing its own line of plastic dishes called Boontonware. It was popular with the U.S. Navy during the war because it was virtually indestructible.
In the late 1940's, the company employed Russian industrial designer Belle Korgan to design a line of Boontonware called Boonton Belle.
