The Chief CMS0305W is an adjustable extension column that lets you set projectors or flat panel displays at the exact height you need, anywhere between 3 and 5 feet. It threads directly into any accessory that uses the common 1.5 inch NPT standard, so it drops right into most professional ceiling mounts without extra adapters.

A notched collar runs the length of the column and allows you to raise or lower the mount in clean 1 inch steps. You make the change, tighten the collar, and you are done—no need to take the column apart or wrestle with set screws while standing on a ladder.

The column is built from aluminum, keeping weight down for easier handling during installation while still supporting loads up to 500 pounds. That strength is a welcome margin of safety when you are hanging an expensive projector or a large commercial display.
