George Jones has been called "Possum, " "No Show Jones, " and the "Rolls Royce of Country Singers." Jones was notorious for fast-livin' & hard-drinkin', but he eventually left his wilder side behind. George Jones charted 168 songs during his illustrious career, more than any other recording artist in history. Jones' countless honors include his induction into the Country Music Hall of Fame, the National Medal of Arts, the Kennedy Center Honors, and the Grammy Lifetime Achievement Award. Jones' vast legacy of music includes 270 songs that he recorded from 1965-1971 for Musicor Records, 29 of which were hits. This collection includes 40 songs from Jones' original Musicor recordings, several of which have rarely been released.
