Carbon's cool if you want to go superlight lightweight and have deep pockets, but in the rough and tumble enduro and DH scene many riders, ourselves included, trust alloy bars to guide their bikes in gravity riding situations. The TruVativ's Descendant 35mm Handlebar provides plenty of durability and confidence required in this all-important touchpoint. Short stems and wide bars are almost a requirement to take advantage of the modern mountain bike's longer reaches. This bar is built to take a beating and the rise and sweep just feels right when we reach for the grips.

Wide bars increase leverage and offer more control on steep, rough terrain. The Descendants sit at 800mm wide and a lightweight bar can feel flexy at those widths, negating the benefits of the additional widths. No worries with this bar however. The custom blend aluminum alloy and 35mm stem clamp ensures the right amount of rigidity when you're hoarking on the bars in a sprint or traversing over rough terrain at speed. It's nice to never have to think twice about your bar selection and this handlebar allows us to do just that.
